She also liked the way it looked in the bedroom, and believed that the grey shade would suit most modern homes. She did mention that it's not a good idea to rock a baby when it's younger as it can cause an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed with a safe night's sleep in mind. It features a drop side rail which can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to wake your child or get them out of bed - it's ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight, which makes it easy to move around the house during nap time and for travelling.
It's made of soft material and features mesh sides that are breathable to help promote airflow. It comes in charcoal or oak and a range of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with a variety of styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure after being affixed to her bed. The legs clicked into place and the zippers were secure for safety. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number in case you experience any issues.
The CoZee crib has all the features you would think of in a crib for your bedside, including the ability to attach it to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system. It also comes with six height settings. In addition, there is an inclines feature that can be used to assist babies suffering from reflux or congestion. It's also machine washable, a necessity with all the dribble and vomit that come with having a baby!
The CoZee is a fantastic option for keeping your child in the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. It can even be converted into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock them and send them off.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's most expensive options, but it is packed with lots of features. It's designed as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth up to six months. It has a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is easy to use, even for one-handed operation. It is also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and legs that retract to fit underneath any bed.
Our testers were impressed with the simple access to the side panel, which can be moved up and down at the touch of the button. This was an enormous help during feeding times at night, as it meant they could easily reach in and take their baby away without disturbing them.
It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't recommended as it increases the risk that your child will be thrown out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it can only remain in place when it is attached to the parent's bed correctly. This is a wonderful feature to have in place for peace of mind, particularly in the case of breastfeeding and frequent nighttime feedings.
Telescopic legs allow the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, including divan bases as well as beds with drawers. It comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux, as well as the ability to rock to soothe them to sleep after a feeding. It is also very large and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects even with the lengthy instruction manual. The zipper-down side lets you to feed your baby, or even comfort them during the night.
The cot conversion kit is also well-designed with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us around an hour to put together and was fairly simple to put together. The only downside to the instructions was that certain images were not captioned. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, it was a straightforward procedure and the quality of materials used was excellent.
In the co-sleeping position, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section since it allows them to comfortably reach out to their newborn to feed and comfort them without having to climb out of their bed. It's ideal for parents who don't want the hassle of putting their baby in a traditional cot or even getting them out of it.
During our tests we noticed the smooth motion of the next-to-me crib to be particularly beneficial in lulling babies back to sleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down side can also be easily accessed to feed or soothe babies in the middle of the night, which was a real benefit for our exhausted test mums. The Joie Roomie Glide is a modern and stylish crib that isn't rocking, nor does it come with extra features like the sound machine.
